Low freight rates have caused bulker owner Seanergy Maritime Holdings to record a larger loss for the second quarter.

The Nasdaq-listed firm posted a net loss of $11.3m for the three-month period, deeper than the $6.9m loss at the same point last year.

Average daily vessel operating expenditure, cash interest and finance costs stayed at roughly the same level as was seen in the second quarter of 2019.
