Transocean Maritime Agencies has sold a panamax bulker as it continues to trim its bulker fleet.

Brokers said the Monaco-based shipowner has sold the 77,000-dwt Apollo (built 2006). The bulker has gone to a Chinese buyer for $9.3m, which is slightly more than expected.

The Oshima-built ship is due for special survey in January next year.

Transocean declined to comment on reports of the sale.
