The panamax bulker market has recovered from a slump at the start of the year, but rates have been unsettled amid uncertainty following the announcement of tariffs by the US.
The average panamax spot rate on the Baltic Exchange is currently hovering around the $9,000 per day level, up from January’s low of $6,736 but not quite reaching the three-month high of $10,595 at February’s end.
