Singapore-listed Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has secured a newbuilding order for a series of kamsarmax bulk carriers from its shipowning arm — Yangzijiang Shipping.

The Singapore-registered outfit has signed up for four 82,300-dwt ships to be delivered between end 2022 and late 2023.

The vessels will be constructed at Jiangsu Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding Co (Yamic) — a joint venture between Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and Japan's Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding — and classified by Lloyd's Register.
