The Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition has launched a new initiative aiming at exploring ways to "decarbonise" the shipping industry.
The group, which is made up of international public sector and private sector members, wants to engage with maritime stakeholders as it explores how carbon pricing or a carbon tax could help push shipping away from fossil fuels.
The CPLC initiative, which was launched at Connect4Climate summit in Barcelona today, is led by Global Maritime Forum director Johannah Christensen and Tristan Smith of the University College London and University Maritime Advisory Services.
