A grounded cargoship has been refloated off Greece.

Eight Albanian crew were taken off the 2,800-dwt Koravi (built 1972) on 15 November after it suffered water ingress off Lefkada, the Kolivas website reported.

It was carrying 1,949 tons of iron rods from Greece to Albania.

A tug later pulled the ship free. Stability was not affected by the ingress.

The vessel is operated by Zotaj Shipping & Trading of Albania.
