Murmansk Shipping Company (MSCo) of Russia has blamed dangerous conditions off Cornwall for the grounding of a bulker on Tuesday.

It said it could launch legal action to reclaim expenses after saying the 23,200-dwt Kuzma Minin (built 1980) snagged on an underwater chain.

MSCo first deputy general director Ildar Neverov told Cornwall Live: "The vessel caught on a chain that was at the bottom of the strait.
