The first body of a seafarer from the sunken Bourbon anchor-handler Bourbon Rhode has been found following its sinking in the eastern Atlantic Ocean.

Another 10 of its 14 crew remained missing on Monday.

In an update, the French shipowner said it was sad to report the death of one of the crew members.

"The body of the missing seafarer was located by one of the aircraft involved in the search and has been recovered by one of the five vessels that came to assist," it added.
