A ropax operated by Italy's Tirrenia has arrived in the port of Naples after suffering a fire at sea.
The 14,400-gt Beniamino Carnevale (built 1992) made it safely to the port under tow on Thursday afternoon with no injuries among the eight passengers and 22 crew members, according to Italian newspaper Il Mattino.
The Italian Coast Guard station in Civitavecchia coordinated what it described as a "complex rescue" after receiving a distress signal on Tuesday night from the vessel, which can carry 172 passengers in addition to vehicles and freight.
