A containership belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) is finally back afloat after spending 10 months aground in the Singapore Strait.

Indonesian salvors managed to haul the 6,572-teu Shahraz (built 2008) off a rocky outcrop on Tuesday afternoon, satellite tracking data shows.

The ship is now anchored off the Indonesian island of Batam, leaving IRISL to navigate its way through a minefield of sanctions as it decides how, where and whether the ship can be repaired.
