A Scottish ro-pax has broken down on its first day back in service after a refit.

CalMac's 8,700-gt Loch Seaforth (built 2014) was stuck in Stornoway with engine problems, the Scottish Daily Mail reported.

The $54m vessel had just spent two weeks in drydock on Merseyside.

It had also broken down last year, leaving 343 passengers and crew stranded, the report said.
