The United Arab Emirates is demanding the release of the landing craft and crew reportedly hijacked by Houthi forces.
In a letter to the United Nations' Security Council, UAE ambassador Lana Nusseibeh said the 1,304-gt Rwabee (built 2021) had 11 people of different nationalities on board and was carrying medical equipment to a field hospital on Socotra Island, Al-Arabiya reported.
