A Greek supramax bulker has been damaged after hitting a pier in the Dominican Republic.
The 57,000-dwt Dynamic Striker (built 2010) was holed in its bow just above the waterline after the incident at Puerto Plata on Saturday, El Nuevo Diario reported.
Photos showed a corner chunk taken out of the concrete pier and a gash in the bulker’s hull measuring at least a metre by two metres.
