A general cargoship has been damaged after being hit by a sister vessel in Russia.

The accident took place in the port of Taganrog, Russia, on 7 July.

Video footage released by Marine Pilot shows Volga Shipping's 5,400-dwt SV Knyaz Vladimir (built 2003) ploughing into the port side of the 5,500-dwt Rusich-6 (built 2005) with an audible crash.

Two tugs were in attendance at the time.

The RIA Novosti news agency cited the press service of the Moscow Interregional Investigation Department for Transport (MIIDT) as saying there were no casualties, while the damage to the Rusich-6 was being established.
