New Dayang Shipbuilding in China has secured its first boxship newbuilding contract in three years with a domestic shipping company.
The Yangzhou-based shipyard has struck a deal with Shanghai Minsheng Shipping to build two 1,100-teu container ships to be delivered in 2027.
The price has yet to be disclosed.
