AP Moller-Maersk has named a logistics industry veteran as its next regional managing director for the Asia-Pacific region.

Ditlev Blicher joins the Danish liner giant in Singapore on 1 September. He comes from DB Schenker, where he was Asia-Pacific chief executive for the past four years.

The Danish national succeeds Robbert van Trooijen, who is becoming regional managing director for Latin America, which was described as "one of Maersk's most important markets".
