Castor Maritime is close to making its first move in the container shipping market.

The Cyprus-based, Nasdaq-listed company, which has been an active buyer in the bulker and tanker sectors, is being linked to the purchase of two sub-panamax containerships from Indonesian operator Temas Line.

Brokers reported the 2,700-teu Situ Mas (built 2005) and Segara Mas (built 2006) as sold to Castor for around $14.2m
