Germany's Reederei Foroohari has taken in its largest vessel to date as it upsizes its containership fleet with plans to move into the 2,000-teu to 3,500-teu size segment, managing director Bijan Foroohari said.

The Stade-based company took delivery this week of the 2,500-teu BH Mahia (ex-Anna-S, built 2008) in Dubai.

Foroohari said he acted quickly to beat off competition from two other interested buyers.
