Danaos Corp is making up for lost time in boosting its container ship fleet with newbuildings.
The New York-listed Greek owner has contracted South Korea’s Daehan Shipbuilding to build four firm 7,200-teu vessels to be delivered in 2024.
It is the first company to have signed up for neo-panamax container ships at the yard.
This is the second shipbuilding contract that Danaos has signed this year.
