Boxship player Global Ship Lease (GSL) plans to further expand its fleet with two vessels fixed on charters for at least the next four years.
Ian Webber-led GSL plans to buy two 2004-built, 6,080-teu post-panamaxes from Black Pearl Containers for $24.5m total.
The seller is controlled by former shareholders of Poseidon Containers, which GSL acquired in November 2018.
The ships come with charters of 52 months minimum to 60 months maximum and set for delivery by the end of this year.
