Iranian state shipowner IRISL is aiming to launch a new service to Europe despite US sanctions.

Mohammadreza Mohammadi Banaei, chief executive of IRISL bulker company Sapid Shipping, told the Mehr News Agency that it is planning to use multipurpose vessels to get its exports of "general goods" into eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea markets.
