Oslo-listed MPC Container Ships (MPCC) has fixed the first of its scrubber-fitted boxships on term deals.
The company said that eight of the 10 vessels that will be fitted with the exhaust gas cleaning systems have found work for between two and three years with major operators.
The rate was described as "attractive" and there is a savings-sharing mechanism involved to apportion the gains from not having to buy more expensive IMO 2020-compliant fuel.
