Malaysian owner and operator MTT Shipping has placed an estimated $54m order for two more 1,800-teu vessels.
The Port Klang company has inked a contract for a pair of Bangkokmax feeders to be built at Chinese shipbuilder Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Ship Industry Co, according to European brokers.
The vessels are said to be costing around $27m each and are slated for delivery in the second quarter of 2024.
