The latest deal by Seaspan Corp has seen the leading containership tonnage supplier book its first newbuildings at yards under the umbrella of China State Shipbuilding Corp (CSSC).

The New York-listed owner said on Tuesday that it signed up six 15,500-teu scrubber-fitted containership newbuildings plus options to double the order. It did not disclose the shipbuilders involved in the deal, which is worth around $1.38bn
