Suez Canal drops prices to woo lines back with bargain basement rates

The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) is further reducing fees for liner operators who are deserting it in order to sail the longer route around Africa.

Containerships sailing eastbound from northwest Europe to Asia will be given a 17% reduction on Suez Canal tolls, while those sailing from the US East Coast are being offered whopping rebates of up to 75%.
