The Suez Canal has lowered its crossing fee for boxships making the backhaul to southeastern Asia from northwestern Europe, effective 1 April through 30 June.

The canal authority, based in Ismaila, Egypt, has reduced "normal tolls" for this leg by 6% for all ports in these areas, including Europe's Tangier and Algeciras terminals and Asia's Port Kelang and eastern ports.
