The size of the Greek-controlled fleet remained broadly unchanged for the second year in a row, after a growth spurt that saw it rise by nearly third between between 2013 and 2018.

The fleet numbered 3,968 ships or a total of nearly 341m dwt, according to data as of 2 March compiled by IHS Markit.

The business intelligence firm carried out the analysis on behalf of the Greek Shipping Cooperation Committee (GSCC), an organisation of London-based Greeks.
