The Port of Barcelona is looking toward loans to keep capital projects on track while helping cruiseship owners survive a pandemic that has pushed their losses into the billions of dollars.

Europe's largest cruise port has lowered yearly terminal occupancy fees by 60% and asked the government if it can reduce cruiseship fees by 10% and passenger fees by 30% in 2021.
