Greece’s biggest ferry operator has received the first certification from Bureau Veritas (BV) that it is taking all precautionary measures needed to prevent passengers from contracting coronavirus on board.

BV issued “Safeguard” labels for ten Attica Group ships, the outfits said in a joint statement.

Produced under a scheme dubbed “restart your business with BV”, the Paris-based classification society's new certificates check that clients observe training, procedures and measures that “effectively address” the risk from potential infections.
