Carnival Corp has bolstered its environmental compliance effort, adding six new members to its existing team of two.

The Arnold Donald-led cruise major in August hired Peter Anderson, a former federal prosecutor, to assume the newly created position of chief ethics and compliance officer.

The New York-listed company established Anderson's role as part of a federal court order that included paying a $20m fine for violating probation on a 2015 felony environmental charge, which came with a $40m fine.
