Carnival Corp, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings and MSC Cruises have extended their fleet layups to at least early April amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The world's four largest cruise majors, which together own 216 ships, on 14 March announced they would suspend their entire fleets through mid-April.

Now they have decided to keep their vessels idle for at least another month as the virus continues to wreak havoc on earnings throughout the entire sector.
