MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company has struck a deal with China’s Guangzhou Shipyard International for up to four 3,500-metre-lane ropax ferry newbuildings.
Shipbuilding sources said MSC signed the contract in February, though the deal was never publicly disclosed.
The company is said to have ordered two firm vessels, with options for two more.
