Monaco-headquartered Silversea Cruises has placed its smallest cruiseship on the sales and purchase market with an asking price of close to $20m.

Up for grabs is the 4,200-gt, 100-passenger cruiseship Silver Galapagos (built 1990), which operates expedition cruises in the Galapagos Islands under the Ecuadorian flag.

Cruiseship brokers report that the ship will be available for delivery to prospective new owners in August 2020, at which time it will be replaced in the Galapagos cruise trade by the 6,000-gt Silver Origin, an expedition cruise ship that is currently under construction at De Hoop Lobith’s shipyard in the Netherlands.
