Maritime union RMT is organising a protest against Condor Ferries after the English Channel operator was sold to US-owned investment fund Columbia Threadneedle.
French shipowner Brittany Ferries has also taken a minority stake after Australia's Macquarie Group sold the company,
But the RMT said on Thursday it is calling a protest in Portsmouth, UK, to target Saturday morning sailings on 30 November.
