New York-listed Scorpio revealed 22 newbuildings, including seven capesizes at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS), in a $1.2bn move this week.
Brokers have identified SWS hulls 1309, 1310 and 1311, which were ordered by Cargill at $47.5m each, among the Scorpio haul.
As TradeWinds reported at the start of December, Cargill was selling the three capes to Scorpio at $57m each and replacing them with two trading vessels from Geden and a third from a Japanese owner.
