Canada’s CSL Group has returned to the shipbuilding market after an absence of six years, signing up for up to two self-unloading bulkers at Chengxi Shipyard.
The Louis Martel-led shipowner has placed an order for one 40,000-dwt vessel at the China State Shipbuilding Corp-controlled yard, said a shipbuilding source familiar with the transaction. The deal includes one optional ship and is understood to involve a joint venture partner.
