Rio Tinto has posted year-on-year increases in iron ore and bauxite shipments for the first quarter of 2018, latest data shows.
The Australian mining giant said iron ore shipments were up 5% to 80.3mt, but down 11% on the fourth quarter of last year.
Similarly, shipments of bauxite increased by 12% to 12.6mt
