Greek shipowner Grecomar has entered the Torvald Klaveness-run Bulkhandling pool with a modern ultramax bulker.

Managing director Lasse Kristoffersen confirms the 63,000-dwt El Matador (built 2016) is joining the pool. He describes Grecomar as a typical pool member that is “very preoccupied with asset preservation”.

Klaveness, an Oslo-based owner and operator, has some 50 vessels in its Bulkhandling pool for handymaxes and supramaxes and the Baumarine panamax pool, in addition to another 120 owned and chartered vessels that it operates outside of the pools.
