Oslo Bulk continues to expand its fleet and has acquired three Dutch-controlled multipurpose (MPP) vessels.
The 17,000-dwt ice-class 1A Thorco Manatee, Thorco Mylene (both built 2000) and Thorco Marjanne (built 2001) were purchased for an undisclosed price, likely to be $4m to $5m each.
Oslo Bulk managing director Alf Andersen confirms the purchase of the ships, which are being renamed Oslo Wave 3, Oslo Wave 4 and Oslo Wave 5.
