Low-profile Greek supramax player Almi Marine has offloaded its oldest ship in its first bulker sale in more than five years.

Managing director Christos Hadjigeorgiou confirms the company has struck a deal to divest the 52,300-dwt Akili (built 2001) to Chinese buyers for about $9m. TradeWinds is told the sale of the Tadotsu Tsuneishi-built vessel was actually agreed last month.
