Robbers have used a hose to steal bunkers from a bulker in China.
The IMB said the incident happened on 10 February at the Caofeidian anchorage.
A duty officer from the unnamed ship noticed from the bridge wing that a hose had been connected from an open diesel tank manhole to a small un-lit barge alongside.
The alarm was raised and a duty seafarer was instructed to investigate.
