Belgian bulker and ro-ro owner CLdN Cobelfret is boosting its fleet of larger bulkers with the purchase of an eight-year-old, Japanese-controlled post-panamax vessel.
Brokers in the US and in Europe said Cobelfret bought the Imabari-built, 95,000-dwt Tender Salute (built 2011) for $17m from Misuga Kaiun.
The price appears to be good value for the buyer. A year ago, Cobelfret bought the Oldendorff Carriers-controlled sistership Conrad Oldendorff (built 2013) for $19m.
