Dry bulk specialist Grecomar has shed a 19-year-old handymax, concluding a slow but steady campaign to offload its ageing ships.
Multiple Greek shipping sources confirm the Athens-based shipmanager and owner has sold the 46,700-dwt Mare Forum (built 2000) for about $6.2m.
The price appears to be firm, considering VesselsValue estimates the Kanasashi Heavy Industries-built ship is worth $5.3m and that it is due for special survey in the summer of 2020.
