Abu Dhabi-based ports and logistics giant AD Ports Group has begun taking concrete steps to achieve a gender-balanced boardroom.
To achieve this goal the company, which is more commonly referred to as Abu Dhabi Ports, has partnered with Aurora50, a social enterprise focusing on promoting women into senior corporate roles in the United Arab Emirates.
The move comes ahead of a potential listing on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.
Through the new partnership, AD Ports Group and Aurora50 aim to create a "more inclusive and integrated workplace environment" with a new programme called Gain Leadership Opportunities for Women (Glow).
