Danish towage group Svitzer has revealed an ambitious plan to cut all carbon emissions by 2040.
The company, part of giant shipowner AP Moller-Maersk, has a fleet of 435 ships that pumped out 280,000 tonnes of CO2 in 2020, the same as 110,000 cars.
The new decarbonisation strategy will see Svitzer reduce this total in two phases.
