Norway’s Rasmussen Group has poured cold water on a potential comeback in traditional shipping after selling out of its last major connection to the industry.

Chief executive Dag Rasmussen tells TradeWinds the sector has been a high-risk business in recent years and has struggled to deliver a return on invested capital.

The group no longer has ship operations capacity within the company, and Rasmussen doubts it will buy vessels again.
