Mermaid Maritime forecasts better days ahead after the Chalermchai Mahagitsiri-led company posted a loss for the first three months of 2018.

The Singapore-listed offshore vessel player reported net loss of $6.18m for the quarter versus a $601,000 profit a year earlier.

Revenue fell 46% to $20.88m as the subsea group's revenue fell 51% as a result of lesser non-vessel projects and more drydocking.
