Improved returns from its shipowning investments were a highlight for Wilhelmsen group in the third quarter.

Oslo-listed Wilhelmsen saw its holding and investment segment ring in a profit of $70m for the three months to the end of September, bouncing back from a $172m loss in the previous quarter.

Wilhelmsen pointed to a rise in profit from independently listed Wallenius Wilhelmsen and investments in Hyundai Glovis, held via Treasure ASA, and Qube Holdings for the swing.
