The UK is reportedly aiming to invest up to £200m ($257m) in expanding the port of Ramsgate to avoid post-Brexit congestion at Dover.

The plans are being drawn up by transport secretary Chris Grayling, according to officials cited by the Financial Times.

There is also a back-up scheme for increased freight traffic at Sheerness, plus more lorry space.
