Norwegian financial watchdog Finanstilsynet has ordered Solstad Offshore to revalue its fleet of 140 ships.

The authority told the Sysla website that it believes the giant OSV owner broke accounting rules.

The deadline for the company to respond is Wednesday.

Christian Falkenberg Kode, section manager for prospectus and financial reporting at Finanstilsynet, told Sysla an audit had found that the financial report for the third quarter last year was not prepared in accordance with the rules on book values.
